quarantine vision #14, graphite, soft pastel and colored pencil on paper, 11 x 7 inches: paper
At the beginning of Covid-19 I started the series Quarantine Visions; candlelit visions that channel line, form, and geometry to chart the effects of the brain with limited sensory stimulus. Quarantine has felt like entering a cave: while my eyes adjust to sudden total darkness, my brain constructs its own lights, shapes, and colors to focus on in the absence of clear vision. What forms out of the dust on paper are contracts of interconnection.
